TransIP MCP
Lemon Domains is the unofficial TransIP MCP server. Connect your TransIP account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your TransIP domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.
- “Which of my TransIP domains expire in the next 60 days?”
- “Is auto-renew on for every domain at TransIP?”
- “Did the nameservers change on any of my TransIP domains this week?”

Connect TransIP to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at TransIP, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many TransIP accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at TransIP
TransIP key pairs cannot be limited, but Lemon Domains only ever uses the key to request read-only tokens that expire after 30 minutes. Use a key pair just for Lemon Domains so you can delete it on its own.
- 1Sign in to the TransIP control panel and open Account → API.
- 2Turn the API on if it is off.
- 3Under Key pairs, generate a new key pair named “Lemon Domains” and turn off “Accept only IP addresses from the whitelist”.
- 4Copy the private key that appears (it is only shown once) and enter it in Lemon Domains with your TransIP login name.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose TransIP.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “TransIP personal” or “TransIP clients”. Connect each TransIP account separately.
- 3Paste your login name and private key.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
- Transfer lock
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to TransIP: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- TransIP rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the TransIP account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the TransIP portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no TransIP credentials at all.
Open your TransIP control panel
- 1Open your TransIP account at transip.eu and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every TransIP domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if TransIP offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "TransIP personal" or "TransIP client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.

Frequently asked questions
Does Lemon Domains support TransIP domains?
Yes. Connect your TransIP account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the TransIP dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple TransIP accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.
How do I get a TransIP API key?
Sign in to the TransIP control panel and open Account → API. Turn the API on if it is off. Under Key pairs, generate a new key pair named “Lemon Domains” and turn off “Accept only IP addresses from the whitelist”. Copy the private key that appears (it is only shown once) and enter it in Lemon Domains with your TransIP login name. TransIP key pairs cannot be limited, but Lemon Domains only ever uses the key to request read-only tokens that expire after 30 minutes. Use a key pair just for Lemon Domains so you can delete it on its own.
Do I need to share my TransIP password?
No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at TransIP, not your password. TransIP key pairs cannot be limited, but Lemon Domains only ever uses the key to request read-only tokens that expire after 30 minutes. Use a key pair just for Lemon Domains so you can delete it on its own. Keys are encrypted at rest. Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.
Can I track multiple TransIP accounts?
Yes. Add one connection per TransIP account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.
Does Lemon Domains renew my TransIP domains?
No. Renewal still happens at TransIP. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at TransIP.
Can AI assistants query my TransIP domains?
Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and any MCP client query your full portfolio, including TransIP domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
Is TransIP ICANN-accredited?
TransIP is not on the ICANN list of accredited registrars. It registers .be, .eu and .nl domains through the country-code registries.
Is there an MCP server for TransIP domains?
Yes. Lemon Domains connects to TransIP by API and serves your TransIP domains through its remote MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any MCP client can answer questions about them. It is independent of TransIP and not affiliated with it, so the same connection also covers your domains at every other registrar.
Does TransIP have an API?
Yes. Lemon Domains connects to TransIP by API and syncs your domain list every day, with expiry dates and renewal settings. Your AI assistant can then answer questions about those domains through the Lemon Domains MCP server.
