Combell MCP

Lemon Domains is the unofficial Combell MCP server. Connect your Combell account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your Combell domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.

  • “Which of my Combell domains expire in the next 60 days?”
  • “Is auto-renew on for every domain at Combell?”
  • “Did the nameservers change on any of my Combell domains this week?”

Connect Combell to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at Combell, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Combell accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at Combell

Give it the least access you can

Combell API keys carry the access of the account they belong to. Lemon Domains only sends GET /v2/domains with it, and the IP allowlist keeps the key usable only from the addresses you add.

  1. 1Sign in to My Combell and open API access in your account settings.
  2. 2Turn on API access if it is off, and copy the API key and API secret.
  3. 3Add the Lemon Domains IP address shown on this page to the API IP allowlist. Combell only accepts API calls from allowlisted addresses.

Open Combell API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Combell.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Combell personal” or “Combell clients”. Connect each Combell account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api key and api secret.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Combell: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

Combell rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
Combell rejects calls from Lemon Domains' IP address
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs at Combell.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the Combell account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the Combell portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no Combell credentials at all.

Open My Combell

  1. 1Open your Combell account at combell.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Combell domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Combell offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Combell personal" or "Combell client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
