New features and improvements in Lemon Domains, published as they go live. RSS feed

Every domain report has its own page

Domain reports and transfer checks now live at their own address, like lemon.domains/tools/domain-report/lemon.domains, and older shared links open the same page.

  • Each page opens with a plain-English summary of the domain: age, registrar, expiry, hosting, email and transfer lock.
  • Common questions about the domain are answered from its own data, with links to its transfer check, its extension and its registrar.
  • Change history now also shows transfers, DNSSEC changes and registry record updates.
  • Pages are checked again about once a week, so their history keeps growing.

Registration details for .jp domains

Domain reports for .jp domains now show when the domain was registered, when it expires, its status and its nameservers.

Monitoring and change alerts

  • New Monitoring page. Your domains are monitored automatically, and you can watch up to 1,000 other domains per workspace.
  • Each domain is checked daily for changes to its registrar, expiry, transfer lock, nameservers, status, DNSSEC, hosting, email, SSL or website.
  • See changes on the Changes page and on each domain's page, with what's new since your last visit.
  • Pick instant, daily or no emails per change in Settings, Email, and mute any domain from its menu.
  • The free domain report can add a domain to Monitoring.
  • The API and MCP server can list monitored domains and changes.

All Domains is now My Domains

The list of domains you own is now called My Domains, next to the new Monitoring page. Its address and filters are the same.

Transfer checks in every domain report

  • Each domain report now includes the full transfer check: every lock and waiting-period check with its result, and the steps to move the domain to another registrar.
  • The Markdown version of a report carries the same checks and steps.
  • Reports for 1,000 widely used websites are now being published, a hundred a day.

Clearer transfer lock status

When a domain's registry doesn't publish lock status, domain reports and the transfer checker now show the transfer lock as "Not published" instead of unlocked, and suggest checking at the registrar before a transfer.

Filter All Domains by registrar account, project and status

All Domains now lives at /domains, and old links keep working.

  • Pick one or more registrar accounts or projects from searchable lists that show how many domains each holds.
  • Click the Total, Active, Expiring soon or Expired card to show just those domains.
  • Sort by status, registrar or the date a domain was last checked.
  • Filters stay in the address bar, so you can bookmark or share a filtered list.
  • The domain counts on the Registrars page open the matching filtered list.

Bulk availability checker

The bulk availability checker checks up to 100 names on every extension you pick, as you type. See names about to drop and who holds the taken ones; add plurals, prefixes, suffixes and domain hacks; filter, import a CSV, and keep a shortlist you can copy or export. Agents can use it through the MCP server with check_availability or the REST API.

Clearer registrar connect form

Connecting a registrar is easier to get right first time.

  • Required fields are marked Required, so you can see at a glance what to fill in.
  • If you click Test connection or Connect with a required field empty, that field is highlighted and the cursor moves to it.
  • Registrars that only accept allowlisted IP addresses now have their own step showing the Lemon Domains IP address in large type, with a copy button.

Your date format, everywhere

The date format you pick in Settings now applies across Lemon Domains, so every date reads the same way.

  • The expiry date field shows and accepts your format, with a calendar button if you'd rather pick a day.
  • Tables, domain pages and registrar connections use your format too.
  • Expiry reminders, monthly check-ins and security emails write dates the way you chose, and times use your time zone.

Domain report for any domain

The domain report shows everything about a domain in one place: registrar, expiry, locks and status codes, DNS, the website and its security headers, the HTTPS certificate, email setup, subdomains, popularity and archive history, with a health score that shows what to fix first. Open any report as Markdown or JSON for an AI agent, or ask for one through the MCP server with domain_report.

Dynadot restricted API keys

You can now connect Dynadot with a restricted API key that can only read your domains.

  • Create a restricted key with Domains set to Read, add the Lemon Domains IP address to its IP list, and paste the key and its secret key.
  • The connect page walks you through both options, a restricted key or your production key, step by step.

See your domains arrive when you connect a registrar

Connecting a registrar now shows each step as it happens: connecting, discovering your domains with a running count, then syncing them one by one until it's done and tells you how many were added.

  • Every domain on a registrar's page shows the date it was last synced.
  • When a sync can't reach your registrar, the page shows when the last successful sync was, so you know how current your list is.

Sign in with Google or your password

If you created your account with an email and password, you can now also sign in with Google using the same email. Your Settings page shows when both are set up. Accounts with two-factor authentication on keep signing in with their password and code.

Smoother Dynadot setup and help when a new key is rejected

  • Dynadot restricted keys now connect and import your domains.
  • The Dynadot connect page walks through creating a read-only restricted key step by step, including what to check if the test fails.
  • If a registrar rejects a key you just created, the connect page reminds you that new keys can take a few minutes to start working.

Public records on every domain page

Each domain page now shows what public records say about the domain: registrar, registration and expiry dates, statuses and transfer lock, nameservers, DNS, email setup, HTTPS certificate and website.

  • Looked up in the background when a domain is added by hand, by paste, by import, through the API or MCP server, or by registrar sync, then checked again every week.
  • Marked as looked up from public records, with when it was last checked and a Refresh button.
  • Your own details and synced registrar details are never changed by it, and a different public expiry date is pointed out.
  • AI agents and the API get the same data from get_domain.

Read-only keys for GoDaddy and Porkbun

  • GoDaddy connects with a Personal Access Token that can only read your domains. The setup steps show the one permission to tick, and older GoDaddy API keys keep working.
  • Porkbun's setup steps now use a Read-only key. Keys limited to certain IP addresses or domains get a clear message saying what to change.
  • When a registrar rejects a key, the message names the likely cause, such as a test key, two values in each other's fields, or a missing permission.
  • Setup steps say exactly which values each key needs and which ones to leave blank.

A simpler Registrars table

Each registrar account has a single menu, and the Sync column tells you where it stands and what to do next: "Manual · Set up sync", "Synced" with the date, or "Key rejected · Fix". Long registrar and project names now show in full.

Connect ResellerClub, BigRock and LogicBoxes

Reseller accounts at ResellerClub, BigRock and any other brand built on LogicBoxes (also known as OrderBox) can now sync their domains automatically. Enter your reseller ID and API key, add the IP address shown on the connect page to your API whitelist, and your domain orders, expiry dates and auto-renew settings come in and stay up to date. The setup steps on each connect page show exactly where to find both values.

A page for every domain, and a Still correct button

Click any domain in All Domains to see everything about it on one page, including when it was last checked and its full history. Edit details right there and press Save changes.

  • For domains you track by hand, check them at your registrar, then press Still correct to mark them checked today.
  • Domains that sync from a registrar lock the fields that come from it. Project and notes stay editable.
  • Domains not checked for 90 days show their last checked date in red.

Transfer checker

The transfer checker shows at a glance whether a domain can move to another registrar today, whether it is locked, when it becomes transferable, and the steps for its registrar. It is also in the MCP server as transfer_readiness.

Invite people to your workspace

Your domains, projects and registrar accounts now live in a workspace, and you can invite other people into it from Members.

  • Pick a role for each person: Owner, Editor or Viewer.
  • Give them the whole workspace, or only selected projects or registrar accounts.
  • Add an address that only gets expiry reminders, with no sign-in needed.
  • Owners see who changed what on the Activity page, and can require two-factor authentication for everyone.
  • Belong to more than one workspace and switch between them from the sidebar.
  • Choose which workspaces your reminders cover, and limit an API token to one workspace.

See all your workspaces in one place

  • The Workspaces page lists every workspace you're in, who owns it and your access, with a Switch button for each.
  • Your own workspace is now named after you, so it's easy to tell apart from ones other people share with you.

A clearer registrar connect form

The "I understand the risks" checkbox now sits right above the Test connection and Connect buttons, and hovering a button that isn't ready yet tells you why. Reconnecting an existing account no longer asks you to name it again.

Fewer sign-in prompts

Connecting a registrar or replacing a registrar key no longer asks you to sign in again, however long ago you last signed in.

Import reads more registrar exports, and phones fit better

  • Spreadsheet import recognises more column headers, such as "Expiry Date (UTC)", "EXPIRE DATE" and "Expires On".
  • It also reads more date styles, such as "2026-05-04 10:00:00 UTC", "Mon, 04 May 2026", "04-May-26" and "20260504".
  • Pasted web addresses with a port number are cleaned up to the domain name.
  • Forms and the Projects table fit on a phone screen without sideways scrolling, and text is easier to read with higher contrast.

Two-factor sign-in and more account controls

Turn on two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app, change your password, sign out of every device at once, or delete your account and its data, all from Settings.

Connect your AI tools with one setup prompt

Copy one prompt into Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf or another MCP client and it connects itself to your portfolio. The setup page turns green the moment your agent makes its first request, and your agent can look up each domain's registrar for you.

Automatic domain status and archiving

Every domain's status is now worked out from its dates: Active, Expiring soon, Expired, Not at registrar or Unknown. Archive domains you no longer look after, such as ones transferred to a client, with an optional note. Archived domains leave your lists, counts and reminders and stay one filter away.

Expiry reminders in your morning

Lemon Domains emails you before domains expire, on the days you choose, plus a monthly check-in on your portfolio. Emails arrive around 9am in your own time zone, which you can set in Settings along with which emails you receive.

Paste your domains to get started

New accounts can paste a list of domains straight into All Domains. Lemon Domains looks up each one's registrar and expiry date and adds them all, with nothing to set up first.

Projects as a table, and moving domains between projects

The Projects page lists each project with its number of domains, how many expire in the next 30 days and the next expiry date. Select domains in All Domains and choose "Move to project" to regroup them in one step.

Automatic sync for 92 registrars

Connect a registrar by API key and Lemon Domains keeps your domains, expiry dates and auto-renew settings up to date every day. The list now includes INWX, Openprovider, DreamHost, Atom and dozens more, each with a logo, its own page and a step-by-step setup guide. See every registrar.

A REST API for your portfolio

Everything your AI agent can do is now available over HTTP and JSON at https://lemon.domains/api/v1, using the same tokens. Make a token read-only for reports and dashboards, or read and write for scripts. Start with the REST API docs.

See exactly what each sync did

  • Each registrar connection page shows what the last sync added, updated, left unchanged or no longer found, and who added each domain: you, your AI agent, the API or a sync.
  • If a key stops working, the Registrars page says why (for example "Key rejected" or "IP not allowed") with a Fix button.
  • Sync now can run again after one minute, with a countdown on the button.
  • Large accounts sync in stages and pick up where they left off, and edits you make during a sync are kept.
