mijn.host MCP

Lemon Domains is the unofficial mijn.host MCP server. Connect your mijn.host account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your mijn.host domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.

  • “Which of my mijn.host domains expire in the next 60 days?”
  • “Is auto-renew on for every domain at mijn.host?”
  • “Did the nameservers change on any of my mijn.host domains this week?”

Transferring a domain away from mijn.host

In your domain list, click the domain, choose Options at the top right and then Request transfer code. The code appears on screen, or by email for some extensions.

Give the code to the new registrar to start the transfer. Most extensions can't move within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer. mijn.host's guide

Connect mijn.host to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at mijn.host, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many mijn.host accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at mijn.host

Give it the least access you can

mijn.host API keys carry the access of the account they belong to. Create a key just for Lemon Domains so you can delete it on its own; Lemon Domains only ever reads the domain list with it.

  1. 1Sign in to mijn.host and open the API page of your account settings.
  2. 2Create a new API key and name it “Lemon Domains”.
  3. 3Copy the key.

Open mijn.host API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose mijn.host.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “mijn.host personal” or “mijn.host clients”. Connect each mijn.host account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api key.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to mijn.host: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

mijn.host rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the mijn.host account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the mijn.host portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no mijn.host credentials at all.

Open mijn.host

  1. 1Open your mijn.host account at mijn.host and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every mijn.host domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if mijn.host offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "mijn.host personal" or "mijn.host client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
