Lima-City MCP

Lemon Domains is the unofficial Lima-City MCP server. Connect your Lima-City account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your Lima-City domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.

  • “Which of my Lima-City domains expire in the next 60 days?”
  • “Is auto-renew on for every domain at Lima-City?”
  • “Did the nameservers change on any of my Lima-City domains this week?”

Connect Lima-City to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at Lima-City, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Lima-City accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at Lima-City

Give it the least access you can

A Lima-City API key with only the domains.reader role. Keys carry the roles you pick, and this one can list your domains and change nothing.

  1. 1Sign in to Lima-City and open the API keys page in the admin area.
  2. 2Create a new key named “Lemon Domains” and give it only the domains.reader role.
  3. 3Copy the key.

Open Lima-City API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Lima-City.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Lima-City personal” or “Lima-City clients”. Connect each Lima-City account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api key.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Lima-City: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

Lima-City rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the Lima-City account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the Lima-City portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no Lima-City credentials at all.

Open your Lima-City admin area

  1. 1Open your Lima-City account at lima-city.de and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Lima-City domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Lima-City offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Lima-City personal" or "Lima-City client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
