Artfiles MCP
Lemon Domains is the unofficial Artfiles MCP server. Connect your Artfiles account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your Artfiles domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.
- “Which of my Artfiles domains expire in the next 60 days?”
- “Is auto-renew on for every domain at Artfiles?”
- “Did the nameservers change on any of my Artfiles domains this week?”

Transferring a domain away from Artfiles
In the DCP, open the domain, click generate to create the AuthInfo code and release the domain for transfer. Without domain management rights, send the domain cancellation form instead.
Give the code to the new registrar to start the transfer. Most extensions can't move within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer. Artfiles's guide

Connect Artfiles to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API login at Artfiles, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Artfiles accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API login at Artfiles
The Artfiles DCP API signs in with one user name and password for the whole account. Lemon Domains only ever calls get_domains with it, a read of your domain list.
- 1Sign in to the Artfiles DCP (customer control panel).
- 2Open the DCP-API settings and note the API user name and password (set a password there if you have none yet).
- 3Enter the API user name and password in Lemon Domains.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Artfiles.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Artfiles personal” or “Artfiles clients”. Connect each Artfiles account separately.
- 3Paste your api user name and api password.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API login and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Artfiles: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API login is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- Artfiles rejects the API login
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Check the login is the API user, not a different account.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API login's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API login belongs to the Artfiles account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API login? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the Artfiles portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no Artfiles credentials at all.
- 1Open your Artfiles account at artfiles.de and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Artfiles domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Artfiles offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Artfiles personal" or "Artfiles client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
