Google Cloud Domains MCP
Lemon Domains is the unofficial Google Cloud Domains MCP server. Connect your Google Cloud Domains account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your Google Cloud Domains domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.
- “Which of my Google Cloud Domains domains expire in the next 60 days?”
- “Is auto-renew on for every domain at Google Cloud Domains?”
- “Did the nameservers change on any of my Google Cloud Domains domains this week?”

Connect Google Cloud Domains to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at Google Cloud Domains, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Google Cloud Domains accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at Google Cloud Domains
A service account with only the Cloud Domains Viewer role (roles/domains.viewer), which can list and read registrations but not change them.
- 1In the Google Cloud console, open the project that holds your Cloud Domains registrations, then IAM & Admin → Service accounts → Create service account. Name it “lemon-domains”.
- 2Grant it the role Cloud Domains Viewer (roles/domains.viewer) and finish.
- 3Open the new service account → Keys → Add key → Create new key → JSON. A key file downloads.
- 4Open the file in a text editor and paste its whole contents in Lemon Domains. Make sure the Cloud Domains API is enabled for the project.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Google Cloud Domains.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Google Cloud Domains personal” or “Google Cloud Domains clients”. Connect each Google Cloud Domains account separately.
- 3Paste your service account key (json).
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
- Nameservers
- Transfer lock
- WHOIS privacy
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Google Cloud Domains: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- Google Cloud Domains rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the Google Cloud Domains account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the Google Cloud Domains portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no Google Cloud Domains credentials at all.
- 1Open your Google Cloud Domains account at cloud.google.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Google Cloud Domains domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Google Cloud Domains offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Google Cloud Domains personal" or "Google Cloud Domains client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
