101domain MCP

Lemon Domains is the unofficial 101domain MCP server. Connect your 101domain account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your 101domain domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.

  • “Which of my 101domain domains expire in the next 60 days?”
  • “Is auto-renew on for every domain at 101domain?”
  • “Did the nameservers change on any of my 101domain domains this week?”

Connect 101domain to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at 101domain, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many 101domain accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at 101domain

Give it the least access you can

Create a key with only the domains_read scope. It cannot change anything.

Who can use the API

Any 101domain customer can use the API, but only the account's primary user, with two-factor authentication or SSO turned on, can create API keys. Keys expire after at most one year.

  1. 1Sign in to 101domain as the account's primary user. Two-factor authentication or SSO must be turned on to create keys.
  2. 2Open My Account → Developer Tools – API & MCP and create a new API key named “Lemon Domains”.
  3. 3Tick only the domains_read scope. Scopes cannot be changed after the key is created.
  4. 4If you limit the key to certain IP addresses, allow the Lemon Domains IP address shown on the connect page.
  5. 5Choose an expiry (up to one year) and copy the key. It is only shown once; you will need a new key when it expires.

Open 101domain API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose 101domain.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “101domain personal” or “101domain clients”. Connect each 101domain account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api key.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
  • Nameservers
  • Transfer lock
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to 101domain: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

101domain rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the 101domain account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the 101domain portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no 101domain credentials at all.

Open your 101domain account

  1. 1Open your 101domain account at 101domain.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every 101domain domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if 101domain offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "101domain personal" or "101domain client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.

Frequently asked questions

Does Lemon Domains support 101domain domains?

Yes. Connect your 101domain account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. Any 101domain customer can use the API, but only the account's primary user, with two-factor authentication or SSO turned on, can create API keys. Keys expire after at most one year. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the 101domain dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple 101domain accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.

How do I get a 101domain API key?

Sign in to 101domain as the account's primary user. Two-factor authentication or SSO must be turned on to create keys. Open My Account → Developer Tools – API & MCP and create a new API key named “Lemon Domains”. Tick only the domains_read scope. Scopes cannot be changed after the key is created. If you limit the key to certain IP addresses, allow the Lemon Domains IP address shown on the connect page. Choose an expiry (up to one year) and copy the key. It is only shown once; you will need a new key when it expires. Create a key with only the domains_read scope. It cannot change anything.

Do I need to share my 101domain password?

No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at 101domain, not your password. Create a key with only the domains_read scope. It cannot change anything. Keys are encrypted at rest. Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.

Can I track multiple 101domain accounts?

Yes. Add one connection per 101domain account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.

Does Lemon Domains renew my 101domain domains?

No. Renewal still happens at 101domain. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at 101domain.

Can AI assistants query my 101domain domains?

Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and any MCP client query your full portfolio, including 101domain domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.

Is 101domain ICANN-accredited?

Yes. 101domain is on the ICANN list of accredited registrars, so it can register generic extensions such as .com directly with the registries.

What other names does 101domain operate under?

Its accreditations are also held as 101domain GRS Limited. Domains registered through any of them can show those names as the registrar.

Is there an MCP server for 101domain domains?

Yes. Lemon Domains connects to 101domain by API and serves your 101domain domains through its remote MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any MCP client can answer questions about them. It is independent of 101domain and not affiliated with it, so the same connection also covers your domains at every other registrar.

Does 101domain have an API?

Yes. Lemon Domains connects to 101domain by API and syncs your domain list every day, with expiry dates and renewal settings. Your AI assistant can then answer questions about those domains through the Lemon Domains MCP server.
