nicmanager MCP
Lemon Domains is the unofficial nicmanager MCP server. Connect your nicmanager account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your nicmanager domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.
- “Which of my nicmanager domains expire in the next 60 days?”
- “Is auto-renew on for every domain at nicmanager?”
- “Did the nameservers change on any of my nicmanager domains this week?”

Connect nicmanager to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API login at nicmanager, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many nicmanager accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API login at nicmanager
A nicmanager sub-user with read-only API access. It can list your domains and change nothing, and your main login is never shared.
nicmanager is a registrar for resellers and businesses; API access comes with a nicmanager account.
- 1Sign in to nicmanager and open user management.
- 2Create a sub-user named “lemon” with a strong password and without two-factor authentication.
- 3Give the sub-user API access with read rights only.
- 4Enter the user name as account.lemon (or the sub-user's email address) and its password in Lemon Domains.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose nicmanager.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “nicmanager personal” or “nicmanager clients”. Connect each nicmanager account separately.
- 3Paste your user name and password.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API login and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to nicmanager: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API login is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- nicmanager rejects the API login
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Check the login is the API user, not a different account.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API login's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API login belongs to the nicmanager account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API login? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the nicmanager portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no nicmanager credentials at all.
- 1Open your nicmanager account at nicmanager.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every nicmanager domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if nicmanager offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "nicmanager personal" or "nicmanager client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
