GleSYS MCP

Lemon Domains is the unofficial GleSYS MCP server. Connect your GleSYS account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your GleSYS domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.

  • “Which of my GleSYS domains expire in the next 60 days?”
  • “Is auto-renew on for every domain at GleSYS?”
  • “Did the nameservers change on any of my GleSYS domains this week?”

Connect GleSYS to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at GleSYS, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many GleSYS accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at GleSYS

Give it the least access you can

A permanent GleSYS API key whose only allowed function is domain/list. It can list your domains and nothing else.

  1. 1Sign in to the GleSYS control panel and open the project that holds your domains.
  2. 2Go to API keys and create a new key with a description like “Lemon Domains”.
  3. 3Under allowed hosts, add the Lemon Domains IP address shown on this page.
  4. 4Under permissions, allow only the domain/list function, then save.
  5. 5Copy the API key and enter it in Lemon Domains with the project ID (CLxxxxx).

Open GleSYS API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose GleSYS.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “GleSYS personal” or “GleSYS clients”. Connect each GleSYS account separately.
  3. 3Paste your project id and api key.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to GleSYS: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

GleSYS rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
GleSYS rejects calls from Lemon Domains' IP address
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs at GleSYS.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the GleSYS account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the GleSYS portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no GleSYS credentials at all.

Open your GleSYS control panel

  1. 1Open your GleSYS account at glesys.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every GleSYS domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if GleSYS offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "GleSYS personal" or "GleSYS client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.

Frequently asked questions

Does Lemon Domains support GleSYS domains?

Yes. Connect your GleSYS account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. How do I get a GleSYS API key?

Sign in to the GleSYS control panel and open the project that holds your domains. Go to API keys and create a new key with a description like “Lemon Domains”.
