DonDominio MCP

Lemon Domains is the unofficial DonDominio MCP server. Connect your DonDominio account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your DonDominio domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.

  • “Which of my DonDominio domains expire in the next 60 days?”
  • “Is auto-renew on for every domain at DonDominio?”
  • “Did the nameservers change on any of my DonDominio domains this week?”

Connect DonDominio to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API login at DonDominio, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many DonDominio accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API login at DonDominio

Give it the least access you can

DonDominio has one API user per account, limited to the IP addresses you allow. Lemon Domains only ever calls domain/list with it.

Who can use the API

Any DonDominio or MrDomain account can turn on API access in its API settings.

  1. 1Sign in to DonDominio (MrDomain) and open My Account → API settings.
  2. 2Turn on API access if it is not on yet.
  3. 3Add the Lemon Domains IP address shown on this page to the allowed IP addresses and save.
  4. 4Copy the API user and API password into the fields in Lemon Domains.

Open DonDominio API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose DonDominio.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “DonDominio personal” or “DonDominio clients”. Connect each DonDominio account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api user and api password.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API login and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
  • Transfer lock
  • WHOIS privacy
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to DonDominio: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API login is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

DonDominio rejects the API login
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Check the login is the API user, not a different account.
DonDominio rejects calls from Lemon Domains' IP address
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API login's allowed IPs at DonDominio.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API login belongs to the DonDominio account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API login? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the DonDominio portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no DonDominio credentials at all.

Open your DonDominio account

  1. 1Open your DonDominio account at dondominio.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every DonDominio domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if DonDominio offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "DonDominio personal" or "DonDominio client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
