InterNetX (AutoDNS) MCP
Lemon Domains is the unofficial InterNetX (AutoDNS) MCP server. Connect your InterNetX (AutoDNS) account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your InterNetX (AutoDNS) domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.
- “Which of my InterNetX (AutoDNS) domains expire in the next 60 days?”
- “Is auto-renew on for every domain at InterNetX (AutoDNS)?”
- “Did the nameservers change on any of my InterNetX (AutoDNS) domains this week?”

Connect InterNetX AutoDNS to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API login at InterNetX AutoDNS, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many InterNetX AutoDNS accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API login at InterNetX AutoDNS
An AutoDNS sub-user whose only permitted task is Domain List. It can read your domains and change nothing.
- 1Sign in to AutoDNS with your main user and open user management.
- 2Create a sub-user named “lemon-domains” with a strong password and without two-factor authentication.
- 3Give the sub-user only the right to view domains (the Domain List task) and leave out every task that changes something.
- 4If you limit the user to certain IP addresses, allow the Lemon Domains IP address shown on the connect page.
- 5Enter the sub-user's name and password in Lemon Domains. Leave the context blank unless InterNetX gave you your own.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose InterNetX AutoDNS.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “InterNetX AutoDNS personal” or “InterNetX AutoDNS clients”. Connect each InterNetX AutoDNS account separately.
- 3Paste your user name and password.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API login and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
- Nameservers
- Transfer lock
- WHOIS privacy
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to InterNetX AutoDNS: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API login is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- InterNetX AutoDNS rejects the API login
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Check the login is the API user, not a different account.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API login's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API login belongs to the InterNetX AutoDNS account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API login? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the InterNetX AutoDNS portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no InterNetX AutoDNS credentials at all.
- 1Open your InterNetX AutoDNS account at internetx.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every InterNetX AutoDNS domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if InterNetX AutoDNS offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "InterNetX AutoDNS personal" or "InterNetX AutoDNS client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
