Infomaniak MCP

Lemon Domains is the unofficial Infomaniak MCP server. Connect your Infomaniak account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your Infomaniak domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.

  • “Which of my Infomaniak domains expire in the next 60 days?”
  • “Is auto-renew on for every domain at Infomaniak?”
  • “Did the nameservers change on any of my Infomaniak domains this week?”

In the Manager, open the domain, choose Manage and pick the transfer to another registrar option. Turn off Domain Privacy and unlock if asked. The code is emailed to the owner address only.

Connect Infomaniak to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at Infomaniak, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Infomaniak accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at Infomaniak

Give it the least access you can

Infomaniak tokens are scoped. Give the token only “accounts” (to find your organisations and their products) and “domain:read”; both are read-only, so the token cannot change domains or DNS.

  1. 1Sign in to the Infomaniak Manager and open the API tokens page (manager.infomaniak.com/v3/infomaniak-api).
  2. 2Create a token named “Lemon Domains” with only the “accounts” and “domain:read” scopes, and an expiry that suits you.
  3. 3Copy the token (it is only shown once) and enter it in Lemon Domains. Leave the account ID blank unless you want to limit Lemon Domains to one organisation.

Open Infomaniak API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Infomaniak.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Infomaniak personal” or “Infomaniak clients”. Connect each Infomaniak account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api token.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Transfer lock
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Infomaniak: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

Infomaniak rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the Infomaniak account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the Infomaniak portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no Infomaniak credentials at all.

Open your Infomaniak Manager

  1. 1Open your Infomaniak account at infomaniak.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Infomaniak domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Infomaniak offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Infomaniak personal" or "Infomaniak client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.

Frequently asked questions

Does Lemon Domains support Infomaniak domains?

Yes. Connect your Infomaniak account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Infomaniak dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Infomaniak accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.

How do I get a Infomaniak API key?

Sign in to the Infomaniak Manager and open the API tokens page (manager.infomaniak.com/v3/infomaniak-api). Create a token named “Lemon Domains” with only the “accounts” and “domain:read” scopes, and an expiry that suits you. Copy the token (it is only shown once) and enter it in Lemon Domains. Leave the account ID blank unless you want to limit Lemon Domains to one organisation. Infomaniak tokens are scoped. Give the token only “accounts” (to find your organisations and their products) and “domain:read”; both are read-only, so the token cannot change domains or DNS.

Do I need to share my Infomaniak password?

No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Infomaniak, not your password. Infomaniak tokens are scoped. Give the token only “accounts” (to find your organisations and their products) and “domain:read”; both are read-only, so the token cannot change domains or DNS. Keys are encrypted at rest. Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.

Can I track multiple Infomaniak accounts?

Yes. Add one connection per Infomaniak account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.

Does Lemon Domains renew my Infomaniak domains?

No. Renewal still happens at Infomaniak. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Infomaniak.

Can AI assistants query my Infomaniak domains?

Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and any MCP client query your full portfolio, including Infomaniak domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.

Is Infomaniak ICANN-accredited?

Yes. Infomaniak is on the ICANN list of accredited registrars, so it can register generic extensions such as .com directly with the registries.

What is Infomaniak's IANA ID?

3240. The IANA registrar ID appears in the registrar field of a domain's public record, so it shows which registrar a domain is with.

What other names does Infomaniak operate under?

Its accreditations are also held as Infomaniak Network SA. Domains registered through any of them can show those names as the registrar.

Is there an MCP server for Infomaniak domains?

Yes. Lemon Domains connects to Infomaniak by API and serves your Infomaniak domains through its remote MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any MCP client can answer questions about them. It is independent of Infomaniak and not affiliated with it, so the same connection also covers your domains at every other registrar.

Does Infomaniak have an API?

Yes. Lemon Domains connects to Infomaniak by API and syncs your domain list every day, with expiry dates and renewal settings. Your AI assistant can then answer questions about those domains through the Lemon Domains MCP server.

What domain extensions does Infomaniak sell?

Its price list includes .ch and .li.

How do I contact Infomaniak support?

Infomaniak offers support by live chat, phone, email or tickets and help center (7 days a week). Infomaniak offers phone support. Its contact page is https://www.infomaniak.com/en/support/faq/admin2/domain.

In the Manager, open the domain, choose Manage and pick the transfer to another registrar option. Turn off Domain Privacy and unlock if asked. The code is emailed to the owner address only. Then give the code to the new registrar to start the transfer.
