GidiNet MCP

Lemon Domains is the unofficial GidiNet MCP server. Connect your GidiNet account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your GidiNet domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.

  • “Which of my GidiNet domains expire in the next 60 days?”
  • “Is auto-renew on for every domain at GidiNet?”
  • “Did the nameservers change on any of my GidiNet domains this week?”

Transferring a domain away from GidiNet

In the control panel, go to Gestione servizi, then Domini/DNS/Redirect, open the domain and find the code in the Registrar lock e Auth. code section.

Connect GidiNet to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API login at GidiNet, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many GidiNet accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API login at GidiNet

Give it the least access you can

GidiNet has one API password per account, separate from your sign-in password, and you can regenerate it at any time. Lemon Domains only ever calls domainGetList with it.

  1. 1Sign in to GidiNet and open the API password page of your account.
  2. 2Generate an API password and copy it.
  3. 3Enter your GidiNet username and the API password in the fields in Lemon Domains.

Open GidiNet API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose GidiNet.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “GidiNet personal” or “GidiNet clients”. Connect each GidiNet account separately.
  3. 3Paste your username and api password.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API login and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Nameservers
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to GidiNet: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API login is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

GidiNet rejects the API login
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Check the login is the API user, not a different account.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API login's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API login belongs to the GidiNet account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API login? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the GidiNet portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no GidiNet credentials at all.

Open GidiNet

  1. 1Open your GidiNet account at gidinet.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every GidiNet domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if GidiNet offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "GidiNet personal" or "GidiNet client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
