easyDNS
easyDNS is a Canadian domain registrar and managed DNS provider in the Toronto area, co-founded in 1998 by Mark Jeftovic, Colin Viebrock and John Schmidt. It grew out of a web development firm whose clients struggled to control their own domains, and also sells email and web hosting.

easyDNS MCP
Lemon Domains is the unofficial easyDNS MCP server. Connect your easyDNS account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your easyDNS domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.
- “Which of my easyDNS domains expire in the next 60 days?”
- “Is auto-renew on for every domain at easyDNS?”
- “Did the nameservers change on any of my easyDNS domains this week?”

Transferring a domain away from easyDNS
Turn off the Domain Lock in the WHOIS section, then use Get Auth Code under Domain Settings on the Domain Administration page. The code is emailed to the administrative contact.
Give the code to the new registrar to start the transfer. Most extensions can't move within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer. easyDNS's guide

Connect easyDNS to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at easyDNS, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many easyDNS accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at easyDNS
easyDNS issues one API token and key per account with full access; they cannot be limited to reading. Lemon Domains only ever lists your domains and reads each one's expiry.
easyDNS allows 500 API requests a day. Lemon Domains makes one per domain on each sync, so accounts of up to about 450 domains sync in full.
- 1Sign in to easyDNS and open the API section of your account (easyDNS REST API).
- 2Request or copy your live API token and API key.
- 3Enter your easyDNS username with the token and key in Lemon Domains.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose easyDNS.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “easyDNS personal” or “easyDNS clients”. Connect each easyDNS account separately.
- 3Paste your easydns username, api token and api key.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to easyDNS: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- easyDNS rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the easyDNS account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the easyDNS portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no easyDNS credentials at all.
Open the easyDNS control panel
- 1Open your easyDNS account at easydns.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every easyDNS domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if easyDNS offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "easyDNS personal" or "easyDNS client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
