Domeneshop MCP
Lemon Domains is the unofficial Domeneshop MCP server. Connect your Domeneshop account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your Domeneshop domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.
- “Which of my Domeneshop domains expire in the next 60 days?”
- “Is auto-renew on for every domain at Domeneshop?”
- “Did the nameservers change on any of my Domeneshop domains this week?”

Transferring a domain away from Domeneshop
In My domains, select the domain, unlock it if the registrar lock is on, then use the request authorization code (AUTHINFO) link at the bottom of the page.
Give the code to the new registrar to start the transfer. Most extensions can't move within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer. Domeneshop's guide

Connect Domeneshop to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at Domeneshop, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Domeneshop accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at Domeneshop
Domeneshop API tokens cannot be limited; every token can change DNS and forwards for the whole account. Create a token just for Lemon Domains so you can delete it on its own. Lemon Domains only ever lists domains.
- 1Sign in to Domeneshop (domene.shop) and open the API page (Admin → API, domene.shop/admin?view=api).
- 2Create a new API token named “Lemon Domains”.
- 3Copy the token and the secret (the secret is only shown once) and enter both in Lemon Domains.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Domeneshop.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Domeneshop personal” or “Domeneshop clients”. Connect each Domeneshop account separately.
- 3Paste your api token and api secret.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
- Nameservers
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Domeneshop: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- Domeneshop rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the Domeneshop account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the Domeneshop portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no Domeneshop credentials at all.
- 1Open your Domeneshop account at domene.shop and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Domeneshop domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Domeneshop offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Domeneshop personal" or "Domeneshop client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.

Frequently asked questions
Does Lemon Domains support Domeneshop domains?
Yes. Connect your Domeneshop account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Domeneshop dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Domeneshop accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.
How do I get a Domeneshop API key?
Sign in to Domeneshop (domene.shop) and open the API page (Admin → API, domene.shop/admin?view=api). Create a new API token named “Lemon Domains”. Copy the token and the secret (the secret is only shown once) and enter both in Lemon Domains. Domeneshop API tokens cannot be limited; every token can change DNS and forwards for the whole account. Create a token just for Lemon Domains so you can delete it on its own. Lemon Domains only ever lists domains.
Do I need to share my Domeneshop password?
No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Domeneshop, not your password. Domeneshop API tokens cannot be limited; every token can change DNS and forwards for the whole account. Create a token just for Lemon Domains so you can delete it on its own. Lemon Domains only ever lists domains. Keys are encrypted at rest. Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.
Can I track multiple Domeneshop accounts?
Yes. Add one connection per Domeneshop account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.
Does Lemon Domains renew my Domeneshop domains?
No. Renewal still happens at Domeneshop. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Domeneshop.
Can AI assistants query my Domeneshop domains?
Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and any MCP client query your full portfolio, including Domeneshop domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
Is Domeneshop ICANN-accredited?
Yes. Domeneshop is on the ICANN list of accredited registrars, so it can register generic extensions such as .com directly with the registries.
What is Domeneshop's IANA ID?
1001. The IANA registrar ID appears in the registrar field of a domain's public record, so it shows which registrar a domain is with.
What other names does Domeneshop operate under?
Its accreditations are also held as Domeneshop AS dba domainnameshop.com. Domains registered through any of them can show those names as the registrar.
Is there an MCP server for Domeneshop domains?
Yes. Lemon Domains connects to Domeneshop by API and serves your Domeneshop domains through its remote MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any MCP client can answer questions about them. It is independent of Domeneshop and not affiliated with it, so the same connection also covers your domains at every other registrar.
Does Domeneshop have an API?
Yes. Lemon Domains connects to Domeneshop by API and syncs your domain list every day, with expiry dates and renewal settings. Your AI assistant can then answer questions about those domains through the Lemon Domains MCP server.
What domain extensions does Domeneshop sell?
Domeneshop's price list has 421 extensions: 378 generic, 43 country-code and 0 second-level, as of October 2026. They include .com, .net, .io, .ai, .app, .dev, .xyz, .uk, .de and .eu. The full list is on this page.

What does Domeneshop offer besides domain names?
DNS hosting, Email hosting and Web hosting.
How do I transfer a domain away from Domeneshop?
In My domains, select the domain, unlock it if the registrar lock is on, then use the request authorization code (AUTHINFO) link at the bottom of the page. Then give the code to the new registrar to start the transfer.
