Tencent Cloud / DNSPod MCP
Lemon Domains is the unofficial Tencent Cloud / DNSPod MCP server. Connect your Tencent Cloud / DNSPod account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your Tencent Cloud / DNSPod domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.
- “Which of my Tencent Cloud / DNSPod domains expire in the next 60 days?”
- “Is auto-renew on for every domain at Tencent Cloud / DNSPod?”
- “Did the nameservers change on any of my Tencent Cloud / DNSPod domains this week?”

Connect DNSPod to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at DNSPod, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many DNSPod accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at DNSPod
A CAM sub-user with only QcloudDomainReadOnlyAccess, or narrower, a custom policy allowing just domain:DescribeDomainNameList: {"version":"2.0","statement":[{"effect":"allow","action":["domain:DescribeDomainNameList"],"resource":["*"]}]}
- 1In the Tencent Cloud console, open Cloud Access Management → Users and create a sub-user named “lemon-domains” with programmatic access only.
- 2Grant it the preset policy QcloudDomainReadOnlyAccess, or a custom policy that allows only listing domains: {"version":"2.0","statement":[{"effect":"allow","action":["domain:DescribeDomainNameList"],"resource":["*"]}]}
- 3Open the sub-user's API keys tab, create a key, and copy the SecretId and SecretKey.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose DNSPod.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “DNSPod personal” or “DNSPod clients”. Connect each DNSPod account separately.
- 3Paste your secretid and secretkey.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to DNSPod: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- DNSPod rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the DNSPod account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the DNSPod portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no DNSPod credentials at all.
- 1Open your DNSPod account at dnspod.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every DNSPod domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if DNSPod offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "DNSPod personal" or "DNSPod client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.

Does Lemon Domains support DNSPod domains?
Yes. Connect your DNSPod account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the DNSPod dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple DNSPod accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.
How do I get a DNSPod API key?
In the Tencent Cloud console, open Cloud Access Management → Users and create a sub-user named “lemon-domains” with programmatic access only. Grant it the preset policy QcloudDomainReadOnlyAccess, or a custom policy that allows only listing domains: {"version":"2.0","statement":[{"effect":"allow","action":["domain:DescribeDomainNameList"],"resource":["*"]}]}. Open the sub-user's API keys tab, create a key, and copy the SecretId and SecretKey. A CAM sub-user with only QcloudDomainReadOnlyAccess, or narrower, a custom policy allowing just domain:DescribeDomainNameList: {"version":"2.0","statement":[{"effect":"allow","action":["domain:DescribeDomainNameList"],"resource":["*"]}]}
Do I need to share my DNSPod password?
No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at DNSPod, not your password. A CAM sub-user with only QcloudDomainReadOnlyAccess, or narrower, a custom policy allowing just domain:DescribeDomainNameList: {"version":"2.0","statement":[{"effect":"allow","action":["domain:DescribeDomainNameList"],"resource":["*"]}]} Keys are encrypted at rest. Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.
Can I track multiple DNSPod accounts?
Yes. Add one connection per DNSPod account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.
Does Lemon Domains renew my DNSPod domains?
No. Renewal still happens at DNSPod. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at DNSPod.
Can AI assistants query my DNSPod domains?
Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and any MCP client query your full portfolio, including DNSPod domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
Is Tencent Cloud / DNSPod ICANN-accredited?
