Rainyun (雨云) MCP

Lemon Domains is the unofficial Rainyun (雨云) MCP server. Connect your Rainyun (雨云) account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your Rainyun (雨云) domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.

  • “Which of my Rainyun (雨云) domains expire in the next 60 days?”
  • “Is auto-renew on for every domain at Rainyun (雨云)?”
  • “Did the nameservers change on any of my Rainyun (雨云) domains this week?”

Connect Rainyun to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at Rainyun, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Rainyun accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at Rainyun

Give it the least access you can

Rainyun has one API key per account and it cannot be limited. Lemon Domains only ever sends it to the read-only domain list call.

  1. 1Sign in to the Rainyun console (app.rainyun.com) and open Account settings → API key (账户设置 → API 密钥).
  2. 2Generate a key if you have none, copy it and enter it in Lemon Domains.

Open Rainyun API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Rainyun.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Rainyun personal” or “Rainyun clients”. Connect each Rainyun account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api key.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Rainyun: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

Rainyun rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the Rainyun account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the Rainyun portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no Rainyun credentials at all.

Open the Rainyun console

  1. 1Open your Rainyun account at rainyun.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Rainyun domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Rainyun offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Rainyun personal" or "Rainyun client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
