Njalla MCP
Lemon Domains is the unofficial Njalla MCP server. Connect your Njalla account by API once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can answer questions about your Njalla domains next to the domains you hold at every other registrar. Connections start read only, so your AI changes only what you allow.
- “Which of my Njalla domains expire in the next 60 days?”
- “Is auto-renew on for every domain at Njalla?”
- “Did the nameservers change on any of my Njalla domains this week?”

Connect Njalla to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at Njalla, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Njalla accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at Njalla
Njalla API tokens cannot be limited to read-only; a token can use the whole API for your account. Create a token just for Lemon Domains so you can remove it on its own. Lemon Domains only ever calls list-domains.
- 1Sign in to Njalla and open Settings → API.
- 2Add a new token with a comment like “Lemon Domains”.
- 3If you limit the key to certain IP addresses, allow the Lemon Domains IP address shown on the connect page.
- 4Copy the token and paste it in Lemon Domains.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Njalla.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Njalla personal” or “Njalla clients”. Connect each Njalla account separately.
- 3Paste your api token.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- WHOIS privacy
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Njalla: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- Njalla rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the Njalla account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the Njalla portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh. Paste or CSV import needs no Njalla credentials at all.
- 1Open your Njalla account at njal.la and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Njalla domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Njalla offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Njalla personal" or "Njalla client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
