Connect Zone.ee to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at Zone.ee, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Zone.ee accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at Zone.ee
Zone API keys cannot be limited to read-only; a key can use the whole API for its ZoneID. Create a key just for Lemon Domains with an expiry date so you can delete it on its own. Lemon Domains only ever reads the domain list.
- 1Sign in to My Zone and open Settings (top right) → Security → API keys.
- 2Add a key with the comment “Lemon Domains” and choose how long it should stay valid (three years by default).
- 3Copy the key straight away; it is only shown once. Enter it in Lemon Domains with your ZoneID username.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Zone.ee.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Zone.ee personal” or “Zone.ee clients”. Connect each Zone.ee account separately.
- 3Paste your zoneid username and api key.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Zone.ee: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- Zone.ee rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the Zone.ee account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the Zone.ee portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.
- 1Open your Zone.ee account at zone.ee and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Zone.ee domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Zone.ee offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Zone.ee personal" or "Zone.ee client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
- Paste or CSV import needs no Zone.ee credentials at all.
- Zone.ee sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per Zone.ee account with its own label.
How Zone.ee fits into Lemon Domains
Pulled into one dashboard
Every Zone.ee domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.
Expiry tracking, finally
Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every Zone.ee domain so you stop missing renewals.
Daily sync by API
Connect Zone.ee with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.
Why Lemon Domains beats the Zone.ee dashboard
- Every Zone.ee domain in one sortable list, no pagination
- Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
- Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
- Multiple Zone.ee accounts with friendly labels, side by side
- Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
- Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
- MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer Zone.ee portfolio questions
Ask your AI assistant about your Zone.ee domains
Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What Zone.ee domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.
Zone.ee + Lemon Domains FAQ
Does Lemon Domains support Zone.ee domains?
Yes. Connect your Zone.ee account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Zone.ee dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Zone.ee accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.
How is this different from the Zone.ee dashboard?
Zone.ee is an established registrar, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every Zone.ee domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies Zone.ee with every other registrar you use.
Do I need to share my Zone.ee password?
No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Zone.ee, not your password. Zone API keys cannot be limited to read-only; a key can use the whole API for its ZoneID. Create a key just for Lemon Domains with an expiry date so you can delete it on its own. Lemon Domains only ever reads the domain list. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.
Can I track multiple Zone.ee accounts?
Yes. Add one connection per Zone.ee account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.
Does Lemon Domains renew my Zone.ee domains?
No. Renewal still happens at Zone.ee. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Zone.ee.
Can AI assistants query my Zone.ee domains?
Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including Zone.ee domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
