Connect Porkbun to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at Porkbun, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Porkbun accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at Porkbun
A Read-only key. It can list your domains but cannot change, renew, transfer or buy anything.
- 1Sign in to Porkbun and open Account → API Access.
- 2Turn on API access for your account if it is off.
- 3Create an API key named “Lemon Domains”, then open its settings (the gear next to it) and set Permissions to Read-only.
- 4Leave the key's allowed domains empty, so Lemon Domains sees every domain in the account.
- 5If you limit the key to certain IP addresses, allow the Lemon Domains IP address shown on the connect page.
- 6Copy both the API key (pk1_…) and the secret key (sk1_…). Both are needed. The secret is only shown once.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Porkbun.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Porkbun personal” or “Porkbun clients”. Connect each Porkbun account separately.
- 3Paste your api key and secret api key.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
- Transfer lock
- WHOIS privacy
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Porkbun: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- Porkbun rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the Porkbun account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the Porkbun portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.
- 1Open your Porkbun domain list at porkbun.com/account/domainList.
- 2If you have sub-accounts, switch between them via the Account menu and grab each one's list.
- 3Copy the visible list or export the CSV from the Porkbun account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map columns. Lemon Domains previews before commit.
- 5Add one registrar entry per Porkbun account with a friendly label (e.g. 'Porkbun personal', 'Porkbun investments').
- Sub-accounts are supported. One Lemon Domains entry per Porkbun account.
- Paste or CSV import needs no Porkbun credentials at all.

I have multiple Porkbun sub-accounts. Can Lemon Domains handle them?
Yes. Porkbun lets you switch between sub-accounts in the Account menu, but its dashboard does not show them together. Connect each sub-account in Lemon Domains with its own API key and friendly name (or import each one by paste or CSV), and the unified portfolio view shows every Porkbun domain in one list.
How is this different from the Porkbun domain list?
Porkbun has a lovely UI but no cross-account portfolio view, no project grouping, and no real expiry tracking beyond a date column. Lemon Domains adds live countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), project folders, and unifies Porkbun with your other registrars.
Do I need to share my Porkbun password?
No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Porkbun, not your password. A Read-only key. It can list your domains but cannot change, renew, transfer or buy anything. Can AI assistants query my Porkbun domains?
