Connect Vercel to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at Vercel, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Vercel accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at Vercel

Give it the least access you can

Vercel tokens cannot be made read-only. Scope the token to just the team that owns your domains, give it an expiration date, and use it only for Lemon Domains so you can revoke it on its own.

  1. 1Sign in to Vercel and open Account Settings → Tokens.
  2. 2Create a token named “Lemon Domains”. Set its scope to the team (or personal account) that owns your domains, and choose an expiration date.
  3. 3Copy the token. It is only shown once.
  4. 4If the domains belong to a team, also copy the Team ID from Team Settings → General.

Open Vercel API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Vercel.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Vercel personal” or “Vercel clients”. Connect each Vercel account separately.
  3. 3Paste your access token.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
  • Nameservers
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Vercel: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

Vercel rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the Vercel account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the Vercel portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.

Open your Vercel domains

  1. 1Open your Vercel account at vercel.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Vercel domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Vercel offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Vercel personal" or "Vercel client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
Heads up
  • Paste or CSV import needs no Vercel credentials at all.
  • Vercel sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per Vercel account with its own label.

How Vercel fits into Lemon Domains

Pulled into one dashboard

Every Vercel domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.

Expiry tracking, finally

Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every Vercel domain so you stop missing renewals.

Daily sync by API

Connect Vercel with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.

Why Lemon Domains beats the Vercel dashboard

  • Every Vercel domain in one sortable list, no pagination
  • Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
  • Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
  • Multiple Vercel accounts with friendly labels, side by side
  • Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
  • Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
  • MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer Vercel portfolio questions

Ask your AI assistant about your Vercel domains

Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What Vercel domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.

Vercel + Lemon Domains FAQ

Does Lemon Domains support Vercel domains?

Yes. Connect your Vercel account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Vercel dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Vercel accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.

How is this different from the Vercel dashboard?

Vercel has been registering domains since 2015, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every Vercel domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies Vercel with every other registrar you use.

Do I need to share my Vercel password?

No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Vercel, not your password. Vercel tokens cannot be made read-only. Scope the token to just the team that owns your domains, give it an expiration date, and use it only for Lemon Domains so you can revoke it on its own. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.

Can I track multiple Vercel accounts?

Yes. Add one connection per Vercel account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.

Does Lemon Domains renew my Vercel domains?

No. Renewal still happens at Vercel. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Vercel.

Can AI assistants query my Vercel domains?

Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including Vercel domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.

Stop juggling Vercel tabs.
