Setup guide

Connect Value Domain to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at Value Domain, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Value Domain accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at Value Domain

Give it the least access you can

Value-Domain tokens cannot be limited to read-only: a token can use everything the API offers on your account, including DNS changes. Lemon Domains only calls the domain list. Reissue the token in API settings if you stop using Lemon Domains.

  1. 1Sign in to the Value-Domain control panel and open API settings (API設定, value-domain.com/vdapi/).
  2. 2Issue an API token if you do not have one, and copy it.
  3. 3If you limit the key to certain IP addresses, allow the Lemon Domains IP address shown on the connect page.

Open Value Domain API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Value Domain.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Value Domain personal” or “Value Domain clients”. Connect each Value Domain account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api token.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Value Domain: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

Value Domain rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the Value Domain account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the Value Domain portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.

Open your Value Domain account

  1. 1Open your Value Domain account at value-domain.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Value Domain domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Value Domain offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Value Domain personal" or "Value Domain client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
Heads up
  • Paste or CSV import needs no Value Domain credentials at all.
  • Value Domain sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per Value Domain account with its own label.

How Value Domain fits into Lemon Domains

Pulled into one dashboard

Every Value Domain domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.

Expiry tracking, finally

Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every Value Domain domain so you stop missing renewals.

Daily sync by API

Connect Value Domain with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.

Why Lemon Domains beats the Value Domain dashboard

  • Every Value Domain domain in one sortable list, no pagination
  • Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
  • Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
  • Multiple Value Domain accounts with friendly labels, side by side
  • Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
  • Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
  • MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer Value Domain portfolio questions

Ask your AI assistant about your Value Domain domains

Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What Value Domain domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.

Value Domain + Lemon Domains FAQ

Does Lemon Domains support Value Domain domains?

Yes. Connect your Value Domain account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Value Domain dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Value Domain accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.

How is this different from the Value Domain dashboard?

Value Domain is an established registrar, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every Value Domain domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies Value Domain with every other registrar you use.

Do I need to share my Value Domain password?

No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Value Domain, not your password. Value-Domain tokens cannot be limited to read-only: a token can use everything the API offers on your account, including DNS changes. Lemon Domains only calls the domain list. Reissue the token in API settings if you stop using Lemon Domains. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.

Can I track multiple Value Domain accounts?

Yes. Add one connection per Value Domain account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.

Does Lemon Domains renew my Value Domain domains?

No. Renewal still happens at Value Domain. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Value Domain.

Can AI assistants query my Value Domain domains?

Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including Value Domain domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
