Connect TransIP to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at TransIP, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many TransIP accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at TransIP

Give it the least access you can

TransIP key pairs cannot be limited, but Lemon Domains only ever uses the key to request read-only tokens that expire after 30 minutes. Use a key pair just for Lemon Domains so you can delete it on its own.

  1. 1Sign in to the TransIP control panel and open Account → API.
  2. 2Turn the API on if it is off.
  3. 3Under Key pairs, generate a new key pair named “Lemon Domains” and turn off “Accept only IP addresses from the whitelist”.
  4. 4Copy the private key that appears (it is only shown once) and enter it in Lemon Domains with your TransIP login name.

Open TransIP API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose TransIP.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “TransIP personal” or “TransIP clients”. Connect each TransIP account separately.
  3. 3Paste your login name and private key.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
  • Transfer lock
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to TransIP: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

TransIP rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the TransIP account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the TransIP portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.

Open your TransIP control panel

  1. 1Open your TransIP account at transip.eu and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every TransIP domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if TransIP offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "TransIP personal" or "TransIP client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
Heads up
  • Paste or CSV import needs no TransIP credentials at all.
  • TransIP sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per TransIP account with its own label.

How TransIP fits into Lemon Domains

Pulled into one dashboard

Every TransIP domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.

Expiry tracking, finally

Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every TransIP domain so you stop missing renewals.

Daily sync by API

Connect TransIP with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.

Why Lemon Domains beats the TransIP dashboard

  • Every TransIP domain in one sortable list, no pagination
  • Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
  • Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
  • Multiple TransIP accounts with friendly labels, side by side
  • Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
  • Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
  • MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer TransIP portfolio questions

Ask your AI assistant about your TransIP domains

Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What TransIP domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.

TransIP + Lemon Domains FAQ

Does Lemon Domains support TransIP domains?

Yes. Connect your TransIP account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the TransIP dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple TransIP accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.

How is this different from the TransIP dashboard?

TransIP has been registering domains since 2003, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every TransIP domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies TransIP with every other registrar you use.

Do I need to share my TransIP password?

No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at TransIP, not your password. TransIP key pairs cannot be limited, but Lemon Domains only ever uses the key to request read-only tokens that expire after 30 minutes. Use a key pair just for Lemon Domains so you can delete it on its own. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.

Can I track multiple TransIP accounts?

Yes. Add one connection per TransIP account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.

Does Lemon Domains renew my TransIP domains?

No. Renewal still happens at TransIP. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at TransIP.

Can AI assistants query my TransIP domains?

Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including TransIP domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.

Stop juggling TransIP tabs.
