Connect REG.RU to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API login at REG.RU, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many REG.RU accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API login at REG.RU
REG.RU has no read-only API keys. Use the separate API password, which cannot be used to sign in to the site. Lemon Domains only ever calls service/get_list, which lists your domain services.
- 1Sign in to REG.RU and open Account → Settings → API.
- 2Add the Lemon Domains IP address shown on this page to the list of IP addresses allowed to use the API, and save. REG.RU only answers API calls from addresses on that list.
- 3Set an alternative password for the API on the same page. It works only for the API, so your account password stays private.
- 4Enter your REG.RU login and that API password in Lemon Domains.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose REG.RU.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “REG.RU personal” or “REG.RU clients”. Connect each REG.RU account separately.
- 3Paste your login and api password.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API login and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to REG.RU: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API login is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- REG.RU rejects the API login
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Check the login is the API user, not a different account.
- REG.RU rejects calls from Lemon Domains' IP address
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API login's allowed IPs at REG.RU.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API login belongs to the REG.RU account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API login? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the REG.RU portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.
- 1Open your REG.RU account at reg.ru and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every REG.RU domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if REG.RU offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "REG.RU personal" or "REG.RU client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
- Paste or CSV import needs no REG.RU credentials at all.
- REG.RU sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per REG.RU account with its own label.

Do I need to share my REG.RU password?
