Connect Realtime Register to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at Realtime Register, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Realtime Register accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at Realtime Register

Give it the least access you can

A dedicated API user that can only view domains. Its key is separate from your own login, so you can revoke it on its own.

Who can use the API

Realtime Register is a wholesale registrar: the API is available to Realtime Register reseller accounts.

  1. 1Sign in to the Realtime Register portal.
  2. 2Create an API user for Lemon Domains and give it only the permission to view domains, if your account's roles allow it.
  3. 3Copy the API user's API key and paste it in Lemon Domains.

Open Realtime Register API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Realtime Register.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Realtime Register personal” or “Realtime Register clients”. Connect each Realtime Register account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api key.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
  • Nameservers
  • Transfer lock
  • WHOIS privacy
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Realtime Register: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

Realtime Register rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the Realtime Register account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the Realtime Register portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.

Open the Realtime Register portal

  1. 1Open your Realtime Register account at realtimeregister.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Realtime Register domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Realtime Register offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Realtime Register personal" or "Realtime Register client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
Heads up
  • Paste or CSV import needs no Realtime Register credentials at all.
  • Realtime Register sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per Realtime Register account with its own label.

How Realtime Register fits into Lemon Domains

Pulled into one dashboard

Every Realtime Register domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.

Expiry tracking, finally

Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every Realtime Register domain so you stop missing renewals.

Daily sync by API

Connect Realtime Register with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.

Why Lemon Domains beats the Realtime Register dashboard

  • Every Realtime Register domain in one sortable list, no pagination
  • Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
  • Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
  • Multiple Realtime Register accounts with friendly labels, side by side
  • Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
  • Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
  • MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer Realtime Register portfolio questions

Ask your AI assistant about your Realtime Register domains

Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What Realtime Register domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.

Realtime Register + Lemon Domains FAQ

Does Lemon Domains support Realtime Register domains?

Yes. Connect your Realtime Register account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. Realtime Register is a wholesale registrar: the API is available to Realtime Register reseller accounts. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Realtime Register dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Realtime Register accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.

How is this different from the Realtime Register dashboard?

Realtime Register is an established registrar, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every Realtime Register domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies Realtime Register with every other registrar you use.

Do I need to share my Realtime Register password?

No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Realtime Register, not your password. A dedicated API user that can only view domains. Its key is separate from your own login, so you can revoke it on its own. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.

Can I track multiple Realtime Register accounts?

Yes. Add one connection per Realtime Register account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.

Does Lemon Domains renew my Realtime Register domains?

No. Renewal still happens at Realtime Register. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Realtime Register.

Can AI assistants query my Realtime Register domains?

Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including Realtime Register domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
