Connect OVHcloud to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at OVHcloud, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many OVHcloud accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at OVHcloud
A consumer key whose only access rules are GET /domain and GET /domain/*. It can read your domains and nothing else.
- 1Open https://eu.api.ovh.com/createToken/?GET=/domain&GET=/domain/* and sign in with your OVHcloud account.
- 2Give the application a name like “Lemon Domains” and a description. Leave the access rules as they are: GET /domain and GET /domain/* only.
- 3Choose an unlimited validity (or a long one you are happy to renew), then create the keys.
- 4Copy the application key, application secret and consumer key.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose OVHcloud.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “OVHcloud personal” or “OVHcloud clients”. Connect each OVHcloud account separately.
- 3Paste your application key, application secret and consumer key.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
- Nameservers
- Transfer lock
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to OVHcloud: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- OVHcloud rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the OVHcloud account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the OVHcloud portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.
Open your OVHcloud domain list
- 1Open your OVHcloud account at ovhcloud.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every OVHcloud domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if OVHcloud offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "OVHcloud personal" or "OVHcloud client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
- Paste or CSV import needs no OVHcloud credentials at all.
- OVHcloud sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per OVHcloud account with its own label.

OVHcloud has been registering domains since 1999 with around 4 million domains under management, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Do I need to share my OVHcloud password?
No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at OVHcloud, not your password. A consumer key whose only access rules are GET /domain and GET /domain/*. It can read your domains and nothing else. Can I track multiple OVHcloud accounts?

No. Renewal still happens at OVHcloud. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at OVHcloud.
