Connect Netim to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at Netim, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Netim accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at Netim
Netim has one API secret per reseller account with full access; it cannot be limited to reading. Lemon Domains only ever opens a session and lists your domains.
The Netim API is part of a Netim reseller account, which is free to open.
- 1Sign in to your Netim reseller account and open the API section of your account settings.
- 2Set or copy the API secret (API password) for the live API.
- 3Enter your reseller ID and that secret in Lemon Domains.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Netim.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Netim personal” or “Netim clients”. Connect each Netim account separately.
- 3Paste your reseller id and api secret.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Netim: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- Netim rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the Netim account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the Netim portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.
- 1Open your Netim account at netim.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Netim domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Netim offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Netim personal" or "Netim client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
- Paste or CSV import needs no Netim credentials at all.
- Netim sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per Netim account with its own label.
How Netim fits into Lemon Domains
Pulled into one dashboard
Every Netim domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.
Expiry tracking, finally
Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every Netim domain so you stop missing renewals.
Daily sync by API
Connect Netim with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.
Why Lemon Domains beats the Netim dashboard
- Every Netim domain in one sortable list, no pagination
- Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
- Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
- Multiple Netim accounts with friendly labels, side by side
- Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
- Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
- MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer Netim portfolio questions
Ask your AI assistant about your Netim domains
Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What Netim domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.
Netim + Lemon Domains FAQ
Does Lemon Domains support Netim domains?
Yes. Connect your Netim account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. The Netim API is part of a Netim reseller account, which is free to open. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Netim dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Netim accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.
How is this different from the Netim dashboard?
Netim is an established registrar, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every Netim domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies Netim with every other registrar you use.
Do I need to share my Netim password?
No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Netim, not your password. Netim has one API secret per reseller account with full access; it cannot be limited to reading. Lemon Domains only ever opens a session and lists your domains. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.
Can I track multiple Netim accounts?
Yes. Add one connection per Netim account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.
Does Lemon Domains renew my Netim domains?
No. Renewal still happens at Netim. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Netim.
Can AI assistants query my Netim domains?
Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including Netim domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
