Connect http.net to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at http.net, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many http.net accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at http.net

Give it the least access you can

http.net API keys carry their own rights. A key whose only right is listing domains can read your domains and change nothing.

  1. 1Sign in to the http.net panel and open your user profile.
  2. 2Under API keys, create a new key named “Lemon Domains”.
  3. 3Give the key only the right to list domains and leave every other right off.
  4. 4If you limit the key to certain IP addresses, allow the Lemon Domains IP address shown on the connect page.
  5. 5Save the key and copy it.

Open http.net API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose http.net.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “http.net personal” or “http.net clients”. Connect each http.net account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api key.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
  • Nameservers
  • Transfer lock
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to http.net: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

http.net rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the http.net account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the http.net portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.

Open your http.net partner panel

  1. 1Open your http.net account at http.net and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every http.net domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if http.net offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "http.net personal" or "http.net client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
Heads up
  • Paste or CSV import needs no http.net credentials at all.
  • http.net sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per http.net account with its own label.

How http.net fits into Lemon Domains

Pulled into one dashboard

Every http.net domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.

Expiry tracking, finally

Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every http.net domain so you stop missing renewals.

Daily sync by API

Connect http.net with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.

Why Lemon Domains beats the http.net dashboard

  • Every http.net domain in one sortable list, no pagination
  • Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
  • Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
  • Multiple http.net accounts with friendly labels, side by side
  • Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
  • Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
  • MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer http.net portfolio questions

Ask your AI assistant about your http.net domains

Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What http.net domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.

http.net + Lemon Domains FAQ

Does Lemon Domains support http.net domains?

Yes. Connect your http.net account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the http.net dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple http.net accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.

How is this different from the http.net dashboard?

http.net is an established registrar, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every http.net domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies http.net with every other registrar you use.

Do I need to share my http.net password?

No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at http.net, not your password. http.net API keys carry their own rights. A key whose only right is listing domains can read your domains and change nothing. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.

Can I track multiple http.net accounts?

Yes. Add one connection per http.net account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.

Does Lemon Domains renew my http.net domains?

No. Renewal still happens at http.net. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at http.net.

Can AI assistants query my http.net domains?

Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including http.net domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.

Stop juggling http.net tabs.
