Connect GidiNet to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API login at GidiNet, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many GidiNet accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API login at GidiNet
GidiNet has one API password per account, separate from your sign-in password, and you can regenerate it at any time. Lemon Domains only ever calls domainGetList with it.
- 1Sign in to GidiNet and open the API password page of your account.
- 2Generate an API password and copy it.
- 3Enter your GidiNet username and the API password in the fields in Lemon Domains.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose GidiNet.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “GidiNet personal” or “GidiNet clients”. Connect each GidiNet account separately.
- 3Paste your username and api password.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API login and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Nameservers
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to GidiNet: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API login is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- GidiNet rejects the API login
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Check the login is the API user, not a different account.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API login's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API login belongs to the GidiNet account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API login? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the GidiNet portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.
- 1Open your GidiNet account at gidinet.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every GidiNet domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if GidiNet offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "GidiNet personal" or "GidiNet client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
- Paste or CSV import needs no GidiNet credentials at all.
- GidiNet sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per GidiNet account with its own label.
How GidiNet fits into Lemon Domains
Pulled into one dashboard
Every GidiNet domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.
Expiry tracking, finally
Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every GidiNet domain so you stop missing renewals.
Daily sync by API
Connect GidiNet with its API login and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.
Why Lemon Domains beats the GidiNet dashboard
- Every GidiNet domain in one sortable list, no pagination
- Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
- Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
- Multiple GidiNet accounts with friendly labels, side by side
- Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
- Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
- MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer GidiNet portfolio questions
Ask your AI assistant about your GidiNet domains
Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What GidiNet domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.
GidiNet + Lemon Domains FAQ
Does Lemon Domains support GidiNet domains?
Yes. Connect your GidiNet account with its API login and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the GidiNet dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple GidiNet accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.
How is this different from the GidiNet dashboard?
GidiNet is an established registrar, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every GidiNet domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies GidiNet with every other registrar you use.
Do I need to share my GidiNet password?
Only if you connect by API. GidiNet's API signs in with a username and password rather than an API key. GidiNet has one API password per account, separate from your sign-in password, and you can regenerate it at any time. Lemon Domains only ever calls domainGetList with it. Credentials are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. If you would rather not, paste or CSV import needs no credentials at all.
Can I track multiple GidiNet accounts?
Yes. Add one connection per GidiNet account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.
Does Lemon Domains renew my GidiNet domains?
No. Renewal still happens at GidiNet. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at GidiNet.
Can AI assistants query my GidiNet domains?
Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including GidiNet domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
