Connect easyDNS to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at easyDNS, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many easyDNS accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at easyDNS

Give it the least access you can

easyDNS issues one API token and key per account with full access; they cannot be limited to reading. Lemon Domains only ever lists your domains and reads each one's expiry.

Who can use the API

easyDNS allows 500 API requests a day. Lemon Domains makes one per domain on each sync, so accounts of up to about 450 domains sync in full.

  1. 1Sign in to easyDNS and open the API section of your account (easyDNS REST API).
  2. 2Request or copy your live API token and API key.
  3. 3Enter your easyDNS username with the token and key in Lemon Domains.

Open easyDNS API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose easyDNS.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “easyDNS personal” or “easyDNS clients”. Connect each easyDNS account separately.
  3. 3Paste your easydns username, api token and api key.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to easyDNS: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

easyDNS rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the easyDNS account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the easyDNS portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.

Open the easyDNS control panel

  1. 1Open your easyDNS account at easydns.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every easyDNS domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if easyDNS offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "easyDNS personal" or "easyDNS client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
Heads up
  • Paste or CSV import needs no easyDNS credentials at all.
  • easyDNS sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per easyDNS account with its own label.

How easyDNS fits into Lemon Domains

Pulled into one dashboard

Every easyDNS domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.

Expiry tracking, finally

Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every easyDNS domain so you stop missing renewals.

Daily sync by API

Connect easyDNS with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.

Why Lemon Domains beats the easyDNS dashboard

  • Every easyDNS domain in one sortable list, no pagination
  • Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
  • Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
  • Multiple easyDNS accounts with friendly labels, side by side
  • Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
  • Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
  • MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer easyDNS portfolio questions

Ask your AI assistant about your easyDNS domains

Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What easyDNS domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.

easyDNS + Lemon Domains FAQ

Does Lemon Domains support easyDNS domains?

Yes. Connect your easyDNS account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. easyDNS allows 500 API requests a day. Lemon Domains makes one per domain on each sync, so accounts of up to about 450 domains sync in full. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the easyDNS dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple easyDNS accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.

How is this different from the easyDNS dashboard?

easyDNS has been registering domains since 1998, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every easyDNS domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies easyDNS with every other registrar you use.

Do I need to share my easyDNS password?

No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at easyDNS, not your password. easyDNS issues one API token and key per account with full access; they cannot be limited to reading. Lemon Domains only ever lists your domains and reads each one's expiry. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.

Can I track multiple easyDNS accounts?

Yes. Add one connection per easyDNS account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.

Does Lemon Domains renew my easyDNS domains?

No. Renewal still happens at easyDNS. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at easyDNS.

Can AI assistants query my easyDNS domains?

Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including easyDNS domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
