Connect Dinahosting to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API login at Dinahosting, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Dinahosting accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API login at Dinahosting
Dinahosting's API uses your panel username and password, so it cannot be limited to read-only: whoever holds them can manage the whole account. Lemon Domains only calls Services_GetDomains. Change the password if you stop using Lemon Domains.
- 1Sign in to the Dinahosting panel and make sure API access is turned on for your account (see dinahosting.com/api).
- 2If you limit the key to certain IP addresses, allow the Lemon Domains IP address shown on the connect page.
- 3Enter your Dinahosting username and password in Lemon Domains.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Dinahosting.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Dinahosting personal” or “Dinahosting clients”. Connect each Dinahosting account separately.
- 3Paste your username and password.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API login and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Dinahosting: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API login is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- Dinahosting rejects the API login
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Check the login is the API user, not a different account.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API login's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API login belongs to the Dinahosting account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API login? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the Dinahosting portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.
- 1Open your Dinahosting account at dinahosting.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Dinahosting domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Dinahosting offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Dinahosting personal" or "Dinahosting client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
- Paste or CSV import needs no Dinahosting credentials at all.
- Dinahosting sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per Dinahosting account with its own label.
How Dinahosting fits into Lemon Domains
Pulled into one dashboard
Every Dinahosting domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.
Expiry tracking, finally
Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every Dinahosting domain so you stop missing renewals.
Daily sync by API
Connect Dinahosting with its API login and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.
Why Lemon Domains beats the Dinahosting dashboard
- Every Dinahosting domain in one sortable list, no pagination
- Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
- Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
- Multiple Dinahosting accounts with friendly labels, side by side
- Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
- Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
- MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer Dinahosting portfolio questions
Ask your AI assistant about your Dinahosting domains
Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What Dinahosting domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.
Dinahosting + Lemon Domains FAQ
Does Lemon Domains support Dinahosting domains?
Yes. Connect your Dinahosting account with its API login and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Dinahosting dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Dinahosting accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.
How is this different from the Dinahosting dashboard?
Dinahosting is an established registrar, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every Dinahosting domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies Dinahosting with every other registrar you use.
Do I need to share my Dinahosting password?
Only if you connect by API. Dinahosting's API signs in with a username and password rather than an API key. Dinahosting's API uses your panel username and password, so it cannot be limited to read-only: whoever holds them can manage the whole account. Lemon Domains only calls Services_GetDomains. Change the password if you stop using Lemon Domains. Credentials are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. If you would rather not, paste or CSV import needs no credentials at all.
Can I track multiple Dinahosting accounts?
Yes. Add one connection per Dinahosting account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.
Does Lemon Domains renew my Dinahosting domains?
No. Renewal still happens at Dinahosting. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Dinahosting.
Can AI assistants query my Dinahosting domains?
Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including Dinahosting domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
