Connect Combell to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at Combell, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Combell accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at Combell
Combell API keys carry the access of the account they belong to. Lemon Domains only sends GET /v2/domains with it, and the IP allowlist keeps the key usable only from the addresses you add.
- 1Sign in to My Combell and open API access in your account settings.
- 2Turn on API access if it is off, and copy the API key and API secret.
- 3Add the Lemon Domains IP address shown on this page to the API IP allowlist. Combell only accepts API calls from allowlisted addresses.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Combell.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Combell personal” or “Combell clients”. Connect each Combell account separately.
- 3Paste your api key and api secret.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Combell: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- Combell rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- Combell rejects calls from Lemon Domains' IP address
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs at Combell.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the Combell account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the Combell portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.
- 1Open your Combell account at combell.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Combell domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Combell offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Combell personal" or "Combell client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
- Paste or CSV import needs no Combell credentials at all.
- Combell sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per Combell account with its own label.

Expiry tracking, finally
Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every Combell domain so you stop missing renewals.

Combell + Lemon Domains FAQ
Does Lemon Domains support Combell domains?
Yes. Connect your Combell account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Combell dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Combell accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.
How is this different from the Combell dashboard?
Combell has been registering domains since 1999, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every Combell domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies Combell with every other registrar you use.
Do I need to share my Combell password?
No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Combell, not your password. Combell API keys carry the access of the account they belong to. Lemon Domains only sends GET /v2/domains with it, and the IP allowlist keeps the key usable only from the addresses you add. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.
Can I track multiple Combell accounts?
Yes. Add one connection per Combell account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.
Does Lemon Domains renew my Combell domains?
No. Renewal still happens at Combell. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Combell.
Can AI assistants query my Combell domains?
Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including Combell domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
