Connect Cloudflare Registrar to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API key at Cloudflare Registrar, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Cloudflare Registrar accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API key at Cloudflare Registrar

Give it the least access you can

Cloudflare tokens can be read-only: give the token only the account permission Registrar → Read, limited to the one account that holds your domains. It cannot change, renew or transfer anything.

  1. 1Sign in to Cloudflare and open My Profile → API Tokens (or Manage Account → Account API Tokens), then choose Create Token → Create Custom Token.
  2. 2Name it “Lemon Domains” and add one permission: Account → Registrar → Read. Do not add any Edit permissions.
  3. 3Under Account Resources, include only the account that holds your domains. Optionally set an expiry date.
  4. 4Create the token and copy it. It is only shown once. Use this token, not the Global API Key, which Lemon Domains does not accept.
  5. 5Only if your token covers more than one account, also copy the Account ID from the account's home page (⋯ menu → Copy account ID). Otherwise leave Account ID blank.

Open Cloudflare Registrar API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Cloudflare Registrar.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Cloudflare Registrar personal” or “Cloudflare Registrar clients”. Connect each Cloudflare Registrar account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api token.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
  • Whether auto-renew is on
  • Transfer lock
  • WHOIS privacy
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Cloudflare Registrar: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

Cloudflare Registrar rejects the API key
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API key belongs to the Cloudflare Registrar account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the Cloudflare Registrar portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.

Open your Cloudflare domains

  1. 1Open your Cloudflare Registrar account at cloudflare.com and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Cloudflare Registrar domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Cloudflare Registrar offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Cloudflare Registrar personal" or "Cloudflare Registrar client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
Heads up
  • Paste or CSV import needs no Cloudflare Registrar credentials at all.
  • Cloudflare Registrar sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per Cloudflare Registrar account with its own label.

Cloudflare Registrar + Lemon Domains FAQ

Does Lemon Domains support Cloudflare Registrar domains?

Yes. Connect your Cloudflare Registrar account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Cloudflare Registrar dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Cloudflare Registrar accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.

How is this different from the Cloudflare Registrar dashboard?

Cloudflare Registrar has been registering domains since 2018 with around 3 million domains under management, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every Cloudflare Registrar domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies Cloudflare Registrar with every other registrar you use.

Do I need to share my Cloudflare Registrar password?

No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Cloudflare Registrar, not your password. Cloudflare tokens can be read-only: give the token only the account permission Registrar → Read, limited to the one account that holds your domains. It cannot change, renew or transfer anything. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.

Can I track multiple Cloudflare Registrar accounts?

Yes. Add one connection per Cloudflare Registrar account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.

Does Lemon Domains renew my Cloudflare Registrar domains?

No. Renewal still happens at Cloudflare Registrar. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Cloudflare Registrar.

Can AI assistants query my Cloudflare Registrar domains?

Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including Cloudflare Registrar domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
