Connect Artfiles to Lemon Domains

Three steps: create a read-only API login at Artfiles, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Artfiles accounts as you have.

Step 1

Create a read-only API login at Artfiles

Give it the least access you can

The Artfiles DCP API signs in with one user name and password for the whole account. Lemon Domains only ever calls get_domains with it, a read of your domain list.

  1. 1Sign in to the Artfiles DCP (customer control panel).
  2. 2Open the DCP-API settings and note the API user name and password (set a password there if you have none yet).
  3. 3Enter the API user name and password in Lemon Domains.

Open Artfiles API settings

Step 2

Add it to Lemon Domains

  1. 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Artfiles.
  2. 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Artfiles personal” or “Artfiles clients”. Connect each Artfiles account separately.
  3. 3Paste your api user name and api password.
  4. 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API login and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
  5. 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
Step 3

What Lemon Domains reads

Synced once a day
  • Domain names (including internationalised names)
  • Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
  • Expiry and registration dates
Read-only by design

Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Artfiles: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API login is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

If something goes wrong

Artfiles rejects the API login
Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Check the login is the API user, not a different account.
The key has an IP restriction
Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API login's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
Some domains are missing
Make sure the API login belongs to the Artfiles account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.

Rather not use an API login? Import by paste or CSV

Copy your list from the Artfiles portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.

Open Artfiles

  1. 1Open your Artfiles account at artfiles.de and go to the domain list.
  2. 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Artfiles domain is visible.
  3. 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Artfiles offers it from the account area.
  4. 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
  5. 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Artfiles personal" or "Artfiles client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
Heads up
  • Paste or CSV import needs no Artfiles credentials at all.
  • Artfiles sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per Artfiles account with its own label.

How Artfiles fits into Lemon Domains

Pulled into one dashboard

Every Artfiles domain you own sits next to your domains from every other registrar. Same list, same search.

Expiry tracking, finally

Lemon Domains shows live expiry countdowns and filters by expiry window (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later) for every Artfiles domain so you stop missing renewals.

Daily sync by API

Connect Artfiles with its API login and Lemon Domains syncs your domains once a day. Hit Sync now whenever you want a fresh copy.

Why Lemon Domains beats the Artfiles dashboard

  • Every Artfiles domain in one sortable list, no pagination
  • Live expiry countdowns and 30 and 90 day expiry windows, not just a date column
  • Project folders for client work, brands, and experiments
  • Multiple Artfiles accounts with friendly labels, side by side
  • Daily sync by API, plus a Sync now button
  • Unified view with GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, and every other registrar
  • MCP server access so your AI assistant can answer Artfiles portfolio questions

Ask your AI assistant about your Artfiles domains

Connect the Lemon Domains MCP server to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client that can send a Bearer header. "What Artfiles domains do I have expiring this month?" becomes a one-line question.

Artfiles + Lemon Domains FAQ

Does Lemon Domains support Artfiles domains?

Yes. Connect your Artfiles account with its API login and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Artfiles dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Artfiles accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.

How is this different from the Artfiles dashboard?

Artfiles is an established registrar, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every Artfiles domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies Artfiles with every other registrar you use.

Do I need to share my Artfiles password?

Only if you connect by API. Artfiles's API signs in with a username and password rather than an API key. The Artfiles DCP API signs in with one user name and password for the whole account. Lemon Domains only ever calls get_domains with it, a read of your domain list. Credentials are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. If you would rather not, paste or CSV import needs no credentials at all.

Can I track multiple Artfiles accounts?

Yes. Add one connection per Artfiles account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.

Does Lemon Domains renew my Artfiles domains?

No. Renewal still happens at Artfiles. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Artfiles.

Can AI assistants query my Artfiles domains?

Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including Artfiles domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.

Stop juggling Artfiles tabs.
