Connect Above.com to Lemon Domains
Three steps: create a read-only API key at Above.com, add it to Lemon Domains, and your domains sync once a day from then on. Connect as many Above.com accounts as you have.
Create a read-only API key at Above.com
Above.com issues one registrar API key per account. Lemon Domains only ever runs the my_domains query with it, which lists domains and changes nothing.
Above.com grants registrar API access to verified customers on request, through the API request form or your account manager.
- 1If your account has no API key yet, request registrar API access with Above.com's API request form.
- 2Sign in to Above.com, click My Account at the top right, then API Access Details.
- 3Copy the registrar API key into the field in Lemon Domains.
Add it to Lemon Domains
- 1Sign in to Lemon Domains (it's free), open Connections and choose Above.com.
- 2Give the connection a friendly name, like “Above.com personal” or “Above.com clients”. Connect each Above.com account separately.
- 3Paste your api key.
- 4Click Test connection. Lemon Domains checks the API key and shows how many domains it can see, without saving anything.
- 5Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the risks, pick the project new domains go into, and click Connect and import. Your domains appear straight away and sync once a day after that.
What Lemon Domains reads
- Domain names (including internationalised names)
- Status, such as active, expired or pending transfer
- Expiry and registration dates
- Whether auto-renew is on
- Nameservers
- WHOIS privacy
Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests to Above.com: each integration has a fixed list of read-only calls it may make, so it never renews, transfers or changes a domain. Your API key is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
If something goes wrong
- Above.com rejects the API key
- Copy it again with no spaces at either end. Some registrars only show the secret once, so create a new key if you didn't save it.
- The key has an IP restriction
- Lemon Domains connects from 2.31.94.66. Add it to the API key's allowed IPs, or remove the restriction.
- Some domains are missing
- Make sure the API key belongs to the Above.com account (or sub-account) that holds those domains. Connect each account separately.
Rather not use an API key? Import by paste or CSV
Copy your list from the Above.com portal, paste it into Lemon Domains, and you're done. Re-import any time to refresh.
- 1Open your Above.com account at above.com and go to the domain list.
- 2If the list paginates, switch to "show all" or the largest page size so every Above.com domain is visible.
- 3Copy the visible list, or export to CSV if Above.com offers it from the account area.
- 4In Lemon Domains, click Import, paste the list or upload the CSV, and map the columns. Lemon Domains previews everything before it commits.
- 5Give the registrar account a friendly label (for example "Above.com personal" or "Above.com client work") so sub-accounts stay distinct.
- Paste or CSV import needs no Above.com credentials at all.
- Above.com sub-accounts are supported. Add one Lemon Domains entry per Above.com account with its own label.

Above.com + Lemon Domains FAQ
Does Lemon Domains support Above.com domains?
Yes. Connect your Above.com account with an API key and Lemon Domains syncs your domains automatically once a day. Above.com grants registrar API access to verified customers on request, through the API request form or your account manager. You can also import by pasting your domain list from the Above.com dashboard or uploading a CSV export. Multiple Above.com accounts are supported with friendly labels so sub-accounts stay distinct in the unified portfolio.
How is this different from the Above.com dashboard?
Above.com is an established registrar, but its built-in dashboard is account-scoped and not designed for portfolio thinking. Lemon Domains puts every Above.com domain into one searchable, sortable list, adds live expiry countdowns, expiry window filters (under 30 days, 31-90 days, later), and project folders, and unifies Above.com with every other registrar you use.
Do I need to share my Above.com password?
No. Connecting by API uses an API key you create at Above.com, not your password. Above.com issues one registrar API key per account. Lemon Domains only ever runs the my_domains query with it, which lists domains and changes nothing. Keys are encrypted at rest, and Lemon Domains only ever sends read requests. Or skip the API and paste your list or upload a CSV.
Can I track multiple Above.com accounts?
Yes. Add one connection per Above.com account, each with its own friendly name. Personal and business logins, sub-accounts, and client accounts all sit side by side in one dashboard.
Does Lemon Domains renew my Above.com domains?
No. Renewal still happens at Above.com. Lemon Domains tracks expiry dates and auto-renew status so you know exactly when to act, but the renewal button stays at Above.com.
Can AI assistants query my Above.com domains?
Yes. The Lemon Domains MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP client that can send a Bearer header query your full portfolio, including Above.com domains, in plain English. Choose read-only or read-and-write access for each token.
